This was by far our best day on vacation! I contacted Captain John last minute which happened to be mid-March and the start of more and more pandemic restrictions. He was able to take my kids and myself out for a couple of hours and even made accommodations with the other family that was with us so they could have boat time too while we played at a beach and yet not exceed too many passengers. He made sure the boat was sparkling clean when we got on and was wonderful with the kids! They loved having Zoey the dog on board and then winning a coconut once we spotted the first dolphin. It truly was a magical day and we would definitely make sure to book again if we can come back!

Captain John made our trip extra fun. We are from Iowa and this was our first trip to Florida. We had so much fun! We saw dolphins, a huge variety of birds, their rookery, boats of all kinds on the water and a beautiful sunset.We were well taken care of and now we have great memories of this day.

We had an amazing afternoon on Seas the Day! Fabulous circumnavigation from the North Jetty up to Sarasota on the intracoastal and then back along the coast. Captain John kept us entertained with many stories and lots of laughs. He even had special treats for our little dog. We saw dolphins and all sorts of beautiful birds. It was a highlight of our holiday! Thank you again Captain John. It really was epic!

Captain John could not have been more friendly, gracious or accommodating. We made a run from Nokomis up to Siesta Key by Gulf and then a Tiki Bar run down the Inter coastal - you need to do this. Add in a Sunset in the Gulf and it was as perfect a day as you could have. A must do!!!

This was by FAR the Best Boat Tour we have Ever had!! The Boat is AMAZING. It is a POWER CATAMARAN making it much easier to walk around even when the boat was moving. Because the boat is a catamaran it was also so much smoother while moving with hardly any of the side to side rocking that most boats have.Can not say enough about Capt. John G and his wife Wendy. They are ENTERTAINING and so KNOWLEDGEABLE regarding the fish and the wildlife in the area. We saw numerous dolphins and we were even taken to an island to see hundreds of birds getting ready to roost for the night. Was so interesting to see the different types of waterfowl fighting and interacting to get the best limb to control.The SUNSET was INCREDIBLE being seen from the boat!!!. This amazing boat even had a sound system with DISCO LIGHTS. The evening was topped off with laughing and watching Captain John show a few of his outdated DISCO moves.OVERALL IT WAS THE BEST SUNSET TOUR WE EVER COULD HAVE HAD

Fabulous experience. Experienced captain and mate who were able to engage three small children 6, 9, 12 and give them an experience of a lifetime. The adults and children all had fun. Excellent fishing, dolphin sightseeing, beach stops for swimming, all choreographed perfectly for success. I will gladly go back with my children. Whatever the on water experience that you want, Captain John can provide it safely, skillfully and pleasantly.

Captain John was amazing! My three girlfriends and I used him for a 10 hour day trip. He was so accommodating to what we wanted to do for the day and also had great recommendations! He is the dolphin whisperer, too! We spotted dolphins and he created a wake behind his boat that the dolphins swam behind for a good 8 min! We got great videos of them jumping out of the water and swimming right behind the boat! His boat, “The Manta” was great too! So comfortable and had great seating and a flat spot in the front to lay out. He made our day so much fun and was so professional. We will definitely be using him again! Thanks Captain John!

Captain John is amazing! He asked what we wanted to see and took us all over. He helped with tiki bar and lunch. We saw dolphins and enjoyed our music. He even has a charger on board. The few things we missed he was the hero. Very knowledgeable and truly enjoys the days at the office! Very attentive.

Captain John and his first mate, Wendy, were the absolute best! John knows all the best spots for shelling, snorkeling, most delicious restaurants on the water, and dolphin watching! I highly recommend him and Seas the Day Charters. US Where else can you encounter EIGHT dolphins cruising along in your boat wake for FIFTEEN minutes! Book this charter fast!

Thrilling ride with Captain John. Enjoy the sunset, delicious tiki bars, snorkeling and shelling around private beaches, and best of all see dolphins up close. We took the sunset tour with Captain John. We had our 4 kids with us, and he made it an amazing experience for all of us. We got to see dolphins, birds, and other wildlife, and learned so much about the area. He also took pictures throughout the ride, and sent them to us afterwards. I haven’t had a family picture in years, and now I have multiple. If you’re considering a boat ride, I highly suggest Captain John. It was our favorite part of our trip to Florida.

I highly recommend Seas the Day Charters and Captain John Gerhardt! My family and I recently had a sunset and dolphin cruise with Captain John and we had an amazing time!!! We truly could not have asked for more! John has lived in Sarasota since he was 8 years old, and is very knowledgeable about the area and a very skilled captain. He ensured that we went to the best places to increase the likelihood of seeing dolphins and manatees and it worked!! We were able to see both - we lost count of how many dolphins we saw and we were almost close enough to touch the manatees. Captain John went above and beyond from start to finish and was very personable and accommodating throughout our adventure. The boat is beautiful and very clean. Captain John took many photos throughout our cruise and captured so many special moments. I honestly can’t say enough about how wonderful the entire experience was!

My family and I spent the evening with captain John, we stopped at some tiki bars and caught the sunset at the end of the night! We had an amazing time and could not recommend captain John enough! He is extremely knowledgeable and informative. I highly recommend taking his charter!

An awesome experience! Captain John knew exactly where to take us to see the splendor of this Coastal Majesty.. Dolphins at play, Manatees, exploring some of the small islands, and waterway restaurants. We have even caught the "Green Flash" sunset ! Can't say enough about this Charter. Prices are great too !
