Unbelievable experience! Captain John quickly put my 9y/o at ease, and the Manta is one smooth ride! We saw it all, Dolphins, Manattees, Turtle, cruised the coast line, and back waters, birds….we literally rocked it to the sunset, the Manta, has an amazing sound system! Great day with Captain John. We had family in from Colorado and there is no better way to explore the area than on a boat tour with Captain John. We saw lots of wildlife, collected a ton of shells, and even found some sharks teeth. Captain John made our day!

Oh what a fabulous cruise. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel welcome,Captain John felt like an old friend. The boat was clean and comfortable and convenient little table for drinks and snacks which you’re welcome to take from home aboard. We went around the waterways and intra-coastal for a look at the lovely houses all whilst Captain John gave us his commentary then out into the gulf for the beautiful sunset.If you’re looking for a memorable couple of hours with friends and family then don’t hesitate just book,you won’t regret it.Thank you Captain John

Second trip with capn John on the Manta didn’t disappoint! The 3 hr trip circumnavigating Casey key was spectacular and John kept us entertained and educated with his vast knowledge of the area and horticulture and aquaculture in the bays and gulf. A quick stop at Evies tiki hut in osprey was welcomed by all to wet our whistles! If you’ve got the time for this fabulous private charter you can’t go wrong with seas the day charters!!!!

What a wonderful way to spend some time down here in Venice. Captain John was delightful. Full of stories and fun facts about what we were seeing. We had friends visiting and we went out on the two hour tour. We all loved it, he had us all laughing. And we learned things. Great guy…great host! We’ll definitely be doing this again! Highly recommend.

Girl’s Trip: Captain John made our boating trip in Venice Beach an unforgettable experience. We spent the afternoon laughing at his jokes as we learned about the area, went in and out of different tiki bars and watched dolphins play. We really can’t put into words how much FUN we had, but do yourself a favor and BOOK THIS TRIP NOW!!

If you've never spent time in Venice, FL, or even if you've been visiting for years like I have, you haven’t truly experienced the area until you've taken a tour with Captain John. My husband and I were gifted a custom tour by Captain John from our children, and I never would have discovered him otherwise. Luckily, my daughter did some thorough research and uncovered this gem!From the moment Captain John asks for the names of the guests joining him on the boat in advance, so he can personally greet everyone, you know you're in for something special. The tour begins at his home where his boat is docked, which is where the magic begin. Imagine an Airbnb on Gilligna's Island. It's at this point, you just know you're about to embark on an unforgettable adventure.Captain John is engaging, friendly, and incredibly accommodating. As a seasoned captain who grew up in Venice, he’s full of fascinating stories about the area. I’ve been coming to Venice for 15 years, but I was still surprised by the local history and secrets he shared. He pointed out stunning sights and even took us to a spot where we could gather seashells along the water’s edge. He recommended amazing restaurants, and we stopped by one to grab dinner, which we enjoyed on the boat while watching the sunset.Throughout the tour, Captain John captures photos and videos (which he later shares with you), and he engages in conversations with everyone, making you feel like he’s part of the group. This personal touch made the experience feel even warmer and more enjoyable.My group of five agreed that this was THE best thing we’ve done in all our years visiting Venice. From now on, a boat tour with Captain John will be at the top of our rotation of activities whenever we visit. I realize that by sharing this, we’ll have to book even further in advance, but when someone is this great at what they do and SO passionate about it, it's worth sharing with everyone!

We booked a 6-hour boat trip and had an amazing time with Captain John on his boat. He is very knowledgeable, has a great sense of humor and his passion for his work is evident. The trip was both entertaining and relaxing. Our teenage son even said it was "the highlight of our vacation." We highly recommend Captain John for your boat trip!
